Hiback is just a market name, not a species. It's still RTG. They always picked a nice aro for picture :D

Snake skin is a variant of Green ;)

They don't like "sucker" fish :D

Hiback and RTG are 2 different thing, RTG is the ori, Hiback are selective cross breeding, you cannot find Hiback in sumatera waters really.

No DNA research has been done on malaysia and myanmar Snakeskin, so it is not yet proven. For the Myanmar variant it has a strong gold gene in the blood as you can see in the pic I show.

Not just arapaima gigas also butterfly fish, featherback, aba knife and morimids as they are also under Osteoglossiformes.

People should know that African arowana is NO longer under Osteoglossidae but now under Arapaimidae which is a separate genus.

Here are the branches of Osteoglossiformes

Order:
-Osteoglossiformes (Bonytongues fishes)
Families:
-Arapaimidae: Arapaima and African arowana
-Osteoglossidae: Asain arowanas, Australain arowanas and South American Arowanas (true arowana species)
-Notopteridae: Featherfin knifefishes
-Gymnarchidae: Aba aba knifish
-Mormyridae: Elephant fishes
-Pantodontidae: African butterfly fish

I have to find the Original working file first and do the translation to English.

Selective cross breeding ony makes the fish look better, doesn't make a different fish! :grinno: Hiback may not be found in Sumatera water, but it came from those fish that were found in Sumatera water! :screwy: Without those RTG from Sumater water, there's no Hiback! :D Hiback doesn't drop out of the sky by itself!:ROFL::ROFL: That's why it's still called HBRTG! :D
For the Malaysian snakekin, isn't it called Nami Green? The "gold" look on the pix you posted is more from lighting, not golden gene in the blood! :grinno: Look at the Juvi pix from the link you posted as well. They look exactly like Green
