Arowana n a 180 gal

Its a tsn he is talking about not a rtc. Also I have wondered about tsn tank size. If you start doing research online about tsns, you will find the majority of write ups saying tank size 180 gallon. I know they get bigger than a standard 180 will allow for but why do so many sites state minimum tank 180?

Don't know about the tsn, with the arowana you'll have to make a decision in about 18 months as what is the right thing to do. There are many people who keep their huge silvers in a 180g. They feel that it is fine, no matter how big they grow. When this time comes you may find that you too have the same sad opinion.

Well,

I have 2 black Aro with 180 gal and they have something about 1,5 year. They already completely fine, but I see that they really need more space.

It is not only space for your fish. When your fish will grow up, he will be produce lots of waste. In my opinion this can by a bigger problem because you will have high nitrate level (then ammonia) and you will have to change water 2 times per week sometimes 50%. It is not good for fish (stress, hesitate temperature and other parameters of water).

You can keep your Aro even 2 or 2,5 years in 180 gal tank, but it depends about fish. I'm sure that you will see when your fish needs more space. I see it, and I start thinking to change my tank.

Good luck !

Well i hope that i have the will power to do the right thing when the time comes.. maybe that right think is getting a 5' by 5' cube!!
