Welcome to MFK☺ Give the Aro time to acclimate to its new environment. Aro will go without food for a few days with no issues. Is Aro in aquarium to itself? Also if Aro is a juvenile I always suggest adding floating plants to give Aro more security.

Hi thanks for the welcome.

He is not by himself but with a few new cichlids. Nobody is messing with him but i will pick up the floating plants. he is about 6-7 inches i think but very thin looking to me.

Btw the plants don't have to be live. Keep offering food and keep I on cichlids . Any sign of aggression separate or remove cichlids asap.

Absolutely on the cichlids he is the main attraction. they(three other chiclids) are only one inch, other than the blood parrot that seems to love everyone. Tips on food?

I would offer the foods in your feeding rotation with the exception of flake food never had a Aro that ate it lol. Try freeze dried shrimp that are small like mysis .

Beware once Aro starts to eat well will grow fast you will have to upgrade.
Oh this Tank is nothing it is just for holding he already has this tank waiting for him. I am picking up a 6 foot 125 tank to make my community tank which will remove most of the fish from that one this Tank is 150 gallons with enough filltration for 1000 gallons

Agree with tlindsey.

A 150 tall isn't enough (which is what I think you are saying is going to be it's home. You're still going to need a bigger tank.
