Grrrr I really like this one jardini aro at my lfs, I call it sidewinder because it swims at a tilt kinda like / <- that. its really beautiful and the pet store has had it for a month or so, so it doesnt have anything wrong with it, it was just born that way. would you say stay away from it even tho its about 2 inches smaller then the silver and the silver will grow faster then it I hear? Also its in a 55g with another silver already thats smaller then it and it look like its the picked on one

Like stated before u may get lucky or u don't. IMO that Jardini would end up killing your silver. Silvers are very delicate when young and best be raised til at least 12" before adding tankmates. Also having a Jardini with one silver in a small tank is suicide for the silver. If u really like the Jardini then trade in your silver for the Jardini and just raise the 1 til u get more experience with them and get a larger tank before trying multiple aros.

I hate the thought of trading in a fish because I feel like Im making the fish feel unwanted but your right and that may be what has to be done, this jardini isnt like any ive seen in any other store I feel some how attached to it, its nice and follows me when I walk by the tank at the store. There is no way I could keep them together for about 2-3 months till I could get a bigger tank??? I really love them both.:(

Sure go ahead and get the jardini, keep it with the silver aro. Raise the survivior into a Monster fish.

Of coz u can. It's your tank and fish and if u can bare watching your silver Aro get it's arss wooped by the Jardini then by all means get them both. My advice though is I guarantee the outcome of this combo maybe fatal and your silver won't be perfect and it will have alot of chunks missing out of it's fins and scales. This could also lead to a very stressed out silver which won't eat then would lead to death...

darnit

could I keep them together until I saw some conflict (fin nipping, biting, etc.) and then remove one? Hopefully they would have an exception since I could keep them full and happy and they could be friends
