Guys, I'm in the process of making a pond approximately 4.7m length x 1.28m width x .72m depth (approximately 1150 gallons) The main inhabitants of this pond will be 4 asian arowanas: 2 gold and 2 red or 4 rtg depending on the funds.I just want to check the compatibility with my planned pond mates. The list of denizens would the following:

2 gold aro
2 red aro
2 hystrix stingrays
2 tire track eels
2 ornate birchir
2 freshwater barracuda
2 lima shovelnose catfish
2 zebra shovelnose catfish
2 atapabo pike cichlid
1 american tiger datnoid
1 oscar
1 spotted gar
12 silver dollars

With the exception of the silver dollars, everything should be similar in size to the aros. But I've heard bad things about the oscars. Thanks in advance.

Hey nice idea here are some warnings
Shovelnose will devour anything that fits in their mouth so be careful with bichirs and eels
Oscar and dat should be fine with lots of space and hides and with the silver dollars to spread the aggression just wb sure the two are relative close size when starting out
The freshwater barracuda can be a bit nippy so careful with that but again relative size with everything and should be fine
The pike cichlids should be same size as the other cihlids too
Keep the top spacious and the arowanas should be fine

looks good, but that stock may be a bit much for 1150 gal

Thanks for the words of encouragement. To reduce aggression, I'm also doing the following:

1. Introducing the more aggressive species last. I'll also acquire these species at smaller sizes than the peaceful ones.
2. Lots of pipe hideouts for the pike cichlids. I heard that this greatly reduces territorial aggression.
3. A screen on top of the pond to prevent escape artists and jumpers.
4. I've ran the list through aqadvisor, it seems to be ok. But just in case, I'm adding the spotted gar last as it is the one least compatible temperature wise.

Nice sounds like a plan
Update with progress and good luck

If you don't have them already watch out when getting your lima shovelnose catfishes (Sorubim lima); you will most likely get slender shovelnose catfishes (Sorubim elongatus) instead if you live in North America. They are near impossible to tell apart physically until at least 1'; elongatus only grows up to 1' and lima gets to about 2".

He meant 2', not 2" to clarify.

Ugh, I've been needing to pickup a Lima that's quite big for weeks, now I'm tempted not to ;O

Didn't figure it would gulp down even bichirs, as the small one I had wouldn't eat much ;o
