Arowana pricing

My LFS wants 80 dollars (Cdn.) for a silver arowana,,,,,sounds a little steep to me,,,what do you guys think ??

I paid $40 for my 9" silver aro. That seems to be about the going price for them here lately.

He looks healthy enuff, been at the pet store for about 3 weeks, so he is prob ok,,,,,,,he is about5-6 inches

That would be pretty pricey around here, but if thats the going rate in that area..it could be a good deal. A lot depends on location. I paid about $15 (USD) for mine when it was about 6"

that seems pricy for an arrowana but this is compared to los angeles prices. if you like the fish and is nice and healthy, then go for it.

if i was in Canada, i would skip the silver and go with an asian =)

Here in FL it costs about $20-$25 for aros that size.
