arowana problem

my arowana has a growing thing on top of its mouth in the middle of its barbels , it looks like a small ball , and its red in color , what can i do to stop that ?

A picture if you could please.. but by the looks of what you say.. i agree with the post above.. might be rubbing into the glass.. btw how big is the aro and the dimensions of the tank

my arowana is almost 12"
its a silver .
my tank is currently 2 feet ,
changing to 4/5 feet soon enough though

Yeah.. wow 2 feet is real small if hes 1 foot..i would get him a a 5 footer at least right away..with a nice width tank

sometimes they get a wound there and it looks red and swollen. might just be from chasing something into a wall or a corner.

pix would help. Probably a bump into something. It should turn white, with time.

oh and if your water is clean it should heal fine but i wonder if you have noticed it swelling in size. hard to say without pics

ya.. i assumed he'd say it the right way when i asked.. anyways now i guess he knows its in a tank way too small..

@kiid - mate.. its better to go for a bigger larger tank as the others recommend.. length and width are a priority.. not jus length.. you might as well pick a tank that is 6X2.5X2 (LXWXH) this is in feet..

but before you do anythin.. please post a couple of pics.. so we can give you appropriate support.. cheers..
