you would worry about it or wouldnt????? because you said it happens occasionally

Sorry, I wouldn't worry about it. This is of coarse if tank params are fine and it is not a persistent issue.

tank temperature is the same as it was yesterday..i live in dubai so its really hot in here and the temperatures dont fluctuate that much
And how high is your tank temp? It doesn't have to be cold. Some time tank temp is too high, and lack of oxygen, will also cause stress to fish

could you post the tank parameters, temp etc.. pics.. what type of filters.. i've had a similar situation before and i did a WC..almost 100 %.. just leave the fish in and when you drain about 90% water.. start adding the fresh water while you are still removing the old water.. just let it go on for about 10 mins and stop draining.. but before all that.. just check the parameters before you add salt or anythin else.. cheers

did a water test.. these were the results
nitrates: 10ppm
nitrites:0 ppm
ph 6

as far as filtration goes the tank is over filtered.. there is a 55 gallon sump, a tetra 700 canister filter. . a dolphin hob filter and a tetra internal filter..so theres alot a filtration ..the fish seems fine to me still..i did feed the fishes yesterday and it took 2 pieces of fillet...less compared to what it eats but it did eat..ill do a 30% water change tonight and see how is goes..wont be adding any salt..is that ok?

cool.. seems ok.. if you are really keen on the salt.. check out the right levels and add.. i think its better to dissolve it in water and then add it rather than adding it straight.. i googled "bichirs and salt" and quiet a few threads on mfk popped up.. and most say they will be fine.. cheers.. keep us posted..
