if the feeders are sick, it wouldnt make your aro sick
Huh?
If the feeders have parasites or bacterial infections, the aro will at least be exposed to them and may very well contract whatever condition the feeders had.
Feeders are garbage food. Feed superworms, crickets, market shrimp/prawn, beefheart or aro sticks/pellets.
hothandzison;1988940; said:have a constant water change, 10-25% every mt, or at least 6 weeks. the perfect ph for them is the ph of tap water. also with this constant water change you really dont ever have to worry about ammonia poisoning, coz the waters always cleansing. dont ever do a water change more than 40% unless necessary, doing this will eliminate alot of the GOOD BACTERIA.
Huh? You really should be changing at least 10% a week and preferably closer to 50% every week. I do 50% weekly and it does NOT elimnate ANY of the good bacteria. The more water you change themore nitrates you remove. The closer to 0 ppm nitrate you get, the better your aro will grow and thrive.
hothandzison;1988940; said:Also when doing a water change.. JUST MAKE SURE TO PUT WATER COND IN THE NEW WATER YOUR ADDING. EG: if your changing up to 20 gallons, just cond that 20 gallons your putting in
Huh? When adding tap water to a tank, I always dose for the entire volume of the tank. There's no way I'm going to skimp on a few pennies worth of conditioner and risk my aro's gills being damaged by chlorine and chloramine.
