In my tank i have a Jardini who basically just hangs out around the middle of the tank. the top of the tank is ussually occupied by my gator gar. THe arowana will NEVER come up to the top for hikari sticks yet my oscar and pacus and everything else does. Is he maybe just scared or just not interested in the pellets? all ive actually seen him eat before were live feeders. i even tried starving him and drenching the sticks in that garlic substance. any ideas?

how big is the jardini

I've tried freeze dried kryll. the tilapia sinks to the bottom... so he catches it on the way down. He'll eat it if it comes to him he just won't go to the top of the tank. and he is a lot bigger then the gar so i don't see that being the problem.
Try feeding foods like shrimp, tilapia, or silver sides. Maybe he will start to come up for those?

Silver sides... And get like tweasers or something... I have a foot long pair of tweasers to feed my catfish so i dont have to reach my arm all the way to set ot infront of him... If i just drop it on my aro or my ck will get ot first... But wave it infront of his face amd then let ot go and he should snag it

It's two top water eaters so what there doing is trying too figure out who's going too clams the top. Even though gar is smaller other fish know they have teeth. I have a big silver arrowana with spotted gars and peacock bass. The bass get what goes in fast so I always have too find ways to feed the rest. Put some krill in cup with tank water and let de-thaw and through some in frozen right on top. Every fish eats different but are if doing that helps. I fill gar up with nightcrawler then feed my silver. That's a little trick I learned.
