a lot of Arowana's won't eat pellets try feed him large meal worms & earthworms that should get him feeding. I had a 2ft arowana that like to feed off the bottom as well as the top

my jar was tricky at first aswell earthworms , silkworms , mealworms and the odd bit of raw prawn , if he won't go to the food get long tweezers and try feed him or hang worms over him also poss bit of cover in floating plant etc , it'll get there in the end dont give up mines six yr old now and dons my tank
i don't think your jardini is scared,since jar are quite aggresive aro,except if the tankmate are lot bigger than your aro.about the food,try put the stick inside a dead shrimp or its favourite livefeeder,dead of course.haha.my uncle aro even eat the goldfish colour enhancment after using that method
