hi all- noodle is sitting right next to my overflow, I’m worried he’s going to start causing issues with water intake. He’s not stuck, he can and will move if you stick your hand in the tank. He’s got 129 other gallons to be swimming in. Why this one.

You put a small kid in a big house, he will likely stay in 1 room

Maybe you can try adding some fishes or cover at water level and dim the lights to make him more secure

NOOOO. He’s only about 6.5 inches long id say. I have a 65 gallon wide that he came out of. Do I put him back in there until he gets a little bigger?

I think the little Aro feels secure near the overflow and if it's eating would not move the Aro. I don't think the prior post meant any harm just suggesting things to help Aro feel more secure and utilize whole upper level of aquarium for swimming. I'm quite sure when you are not around the little Aro probably does explore entire area but see you and swims to overflow for safety. Don't worry it will not be afraid after the 8 inch Mark lol.

He hasn’t eaten in about a week. I’m going to rock scape the tank at which point I will have to drain the tank. But once the rock scape is done he’ll have more things to hide behind as all he has right now are two pieces of drift wood that don’t even come close to the surface

I wouldn't worry about the Rock Scape you just stress Aro out more the first priority is to get the Aro to eat. What are you feeding the Aro?

Hakari floating pellets. Which he used to eat always. I’ve even tried shrimp. And he still looks at me like I’m stupid (he’s probably not far off, based on the decisions I’ve made in the past)

Ok great to hear sometimes Aro"s will have spurts of not eating keep your water parameters stable and the Aro should start to eat again.
