I am looking at building this tank, starting on the from at the end of the year. A local fish shop has gotten in an albino silver arowana. I am tempted to get him and grow him out then put him in this tank with my black arowana. Would having the L shape reduce the aggression potentially as they can be out of sight at times? This is the current stock
Black Arowana
All upper jaw species of bichir (Weeksii, Palmas Palmas, ornate, sen, Delhezi, retro, gold dust, moke, teugelsi).
6 tinfoil Barb
5 flagtail
1 royal clown knife
1 Indo Dat
1 RTGG

Was going to add a couple new world cichlids too, such as Oscar Jack Dempsey etc. Just curious on thoughts for the Arowana owners.

The Aro's will still occupy the entire aquarium regardless of the shape just have a plan b if they don't get along. Very nice build btw.

have u seen "swimming w/ dragons" on youtube? guy has L Shape w/ 6+ asian arowana. LShape will give them their own territory, just silver grow so big they end up taking up so much room. but yes, plan b + c.. i'd say mix 2 16"+ w/a smaller jardinii 8" and some decor.

Well, I already have a black Arowana that is around 18-20" right now. This albino silver is about 5-6" so he has some growing to do before the y could meet while I build this tank.

nice. add jardinii being smallest aro. that will be better vs just the 2 aro. post pics later can't wait to see bro

I debated that too, having a silver/black/albino. There's a shop that regularly has 15" silvers here in town. Maybe even a 2nd black.

do it that'd be sick.. tough part is getting all aro to be thr right size.. always jar being the smallest as they are the craziest!
