ya mine does it too, sorry for all the broken record responses... but all i really see in that video is a flurry or cichlids and hybrids...

as to that swimming mine does it in the evening b4 i turn out his lights its not a hunger thing aros tend to just sit and stair straight at u when begging.

its just something they do now and then

"hybrids" What in there is a hybrid?

Only problem is that he does it non stop all day long even right after feeding.

First off i would agree with the simple fact that the tank is a little crowded for a aro of that size not even just of the fish becuase he will just eat them or push them out of his way anyway's i man there all smalle fish but because of those large pieces of wook i would suggest taking those pieces of wood out for a few day's and see what happens with that. I'm sure just something as simple as that would make a big impact on the behavior and swimmig room for the fish. I'm sure you have them in there for hiding places but i would suggest to put some stuff in there that are not so big and take up so much room. I personally never owned a silver or black but my 18 inch jardini i had allways swam right up against the glass and was all ways doing the fold him self in half then lunging at his reflecting in the side's of the tank. What i found to work was using the black water treatment in my tank that you can get anywere. It would only cost you like 5-7 bucks a week for a bottle that was big enough for that size tank. You can even order it online in a bulk like gallon size and save some do but it will make hime feel more at home in the darker water and he will se his reflection less. Also maybe trying to use a not so bright light. In my exsperience my arow acted way more like that when it was way bright i only turned his like on maybe a you'r a day just for me to check him out and this is when he acted like that when the light was on. The flurring the gill's man nothing at all it's just him being low on air supply from being so active mine did that all the time but mostly when he was way active or at water changes when he had the fresh water with more air. Any ways sorry for the book i just wrote just thoralling giving you my opinions and advice in the most that i could feel free to I M me if you would like.

Sinceraly,

Jeffrey allen Braley
