Don't worry. Fish will look just fine in no time.

Check with your LFS if they are selling fish stablilizer of some sort. If they do just purchase a bottle.

And do not trim the whole anal finnage away! Just tearaway the flipping pieces along the hard ray of the fish will do the trick.

I have been doing this very often in the farm and some times at home to some of my fish which require me to do an out water op or treatment on open wound. The key is dose the stabilizer slowly and check on the fish reaction to it.

The anal fin will grow back nicely. Because it's gravity pull so the fin will look straight good as new.
