i just bought a shower curtain rod and put it above my glass tops and tightend it up against the sides of the canopy. there is some play about an inch between the glass and the rod do you think this will work?

My guy was 24inches when he went through. So far hes been through twice.
I built a wooden cover now so he cannot get through it (still trys though). I cut a small strip in the cover so that light can still get through. It also has flaps on hinges so I can access the tank easily for maintanance and feeding.
