Its a better fit with that tank not a beter fit with oscars, can you even get a black aro in sydney, are asians ilegal there?

I got the bright idea to introduce some oscars (a red and a tiger) to my 120gal black aro tank. The fish look absolutely beautiful together, but OMG cichlids are so pissy. The aro was about 20" and the oscars maybe 10" and they put him in his place. 
I traded the oscars to the lfs for a 14" clown knife and everyone (me most importantly) is much happier now! The aro oscar combo is great, but i dont recommend it in anthing under a 120gal, and then only for about a year. I hear if you buy the oscars small enough they make great aro feeders!

watch for the oscars picking on the aro, atleast till the aro is 10" or over. i had a 5"oscar kill a 8"silver, but i added the silver after the oscar was in the tank for a month or so. add the silver to the tank first, and then add the oscars.
