It has become to easy for people to come across large growing exotic fish and there is too little understood before buying them. Pacu, oscars, common pleco etc, these all get large and are ''cheap" fish that are crammed into small tanks everyday. It kills me to see fish or any living creature put through this type of torture. I don't know if people do these things out of ignorance or out of spite. Ok.... rant over.

oh man, poor fish. someone should get that fish out of the 55g before the owner gives it to lfs (unless lfs has a much bigger tank and will take better care of the fish which I highly doubt about it)
it probably won't grow much anymore but the gill curl can be fixed...yea??

come on willy jump!!!! im sure its out of ignorance not spite, or at least i hope so.

i think we should comment on the youtube video with the link to this forum. so he can see it.

It was posted for sale on THIS message board. Go search arowana in the marketplace forum.

WoW, seeing that poor aro really got to me , poor fish, I wish people would research fish before they buy them if at all possible! I understand that we all make split second descisions sometimes but when you notice your fish grew to over a foot in a few short months it might be an indicator to find it a better home...

I Honestley wish that when it came to buying fish like Aros or RTC, pima... you should have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that you can properley house the fish , I am sorry it just sickens me to the point that I am so nausiated by people that do this ...

I am sorry if I said anything that offended anyone in anyway it is just my 2 cents ...

Looking good to me! That's how a 6 yearsold arowana head look. I bet none of you guys who posted here can grow an arowana that long, especially at that keeper age.
Was that a joke or were you serious? If you were serious, then I'd be willing to bet against you. ;)

Typical what not to do for aros. Some people will never learn. To the people that posted the aro looks good, please do yourself a favour and take the beer goggles off.
