Arowana tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Have you got any existing tanks filters setup and running mate ? Like Vincent said use or seeded media and tankwater from other tanks , few feeders it should cycle within couple of weeks safe for your aro , you can always add bottled bacteria to boost the process , keep testing the water too
mate what is bottled bacteria care to enlighten me thanks:rolleyes:

You'll defo find some on e bay or amazon mate , all lfs have it and there's loads of different brands of it (searchem is one of the most reliable imo ) its just basically bottled bacteria to help boost the bb in your filter and get it colonised quicker than just a few fish would

If you have existing tanks, I would recommend dumping water from water changes into the new tank. You can also clean out all of your dirty filters in the water. I cycled my newest tank in 10 days doing that and dumping handfuls of crushed jumbo krill into the system. Once cycled you can just do a 90% change, followed by a 50% change and you're good.

Thanks bro good idea!!!
So first change the water 90% then 50%. Then iam good to go. ;)

Do it! Make sure to pick up a test kit while you're out--keep an eye on nitrites during the cycle. They will slowly rise, spike, and then, when the cycle is complete, vanish entirely. That's how you know you're ready.
