I am going to get a tattoo soon and i want it to be either a big arowana or a widebar datnoide. Its going to be either coming from my back and curling around my ribs where its face will be pointing towards my pecks or it will just be on my back.

Does anyone have any good pictures of arowanas or datnoides that would look good as a tattoo? It will be done in all black.

I think an arowana tatoo would be nicer than a coy, which is the most popular fish to tatoo on yourself for some reason

it's koi....and all depends on the artist. there are a lot of completely horible koi tats but they can be done very well if they are thought through and artists are researched. the reason behind them can be a multitude of things. try researching the meaning of the koi in traditional japanese lore and such. even the color of the koi means things. most people don't do this type of research and end up with the same calico or orange koi tat that everybody else has....

bump. Anyone have any pics?

Your best bet for pics is to purchase/borrow a arowana or dat book for reference. While there might be a few arow pics on the web I've found much better ones in books. And when you're talking a tattoo that will probably run 1k and 10 hours in pain at least.. It would be worth seeing all that is out there instead of just settling on what you can find on google.

YOU SHould consider a bichir tatoo instead it would be awesome

i'm thinking of finishing my half chest piece with an aro too.
