I got an arowana (about 7inches) in my 177 gallon tank with a texas cichlid. The texas has killed arround 15 fish till now and is torturing the arowana. His fins r rotten, he has cuts everywhere and doesn't move like it use to. I'm considering giving the texas back, but he's my baby (first fish I got) and he's big and beautiful.
Any suggestions?!
Thanx:headbang2

when i got the arowana he was bigger than the texas (about 4 inches) and i just thought arowanas r aggressive so he'd be able to protect himself. I guess i was wrong

I see. Young Aro's can be aggressive towards each other, but if there is a dominant fish in an established tank, he will get picked on. IMO, any Aro's under 8 inches are fragile. Separate him out and put some size on the young Aro!!!
