so maybe i was being to specific. i am looking for a nice colony of fish to put with my arrows or maybe a set shoaling fish. i got rid of my school of discus no have some room. currently the tank has four datnoids 4-5 inchs, fire eel 22inch, clown knife 8inch, gar 8inch, and three silver arows they around 6-7 inchs. throw me some ideas also i am working on get a tig cat and L 014. looking for some middle swimmers.
Arowana with cichlids??

From what I remember your tank is pretty good size right? I would let the aros grow out a little more to about 10-11" and then you can add whatever SA/CA cichlids you like(within reason) the cichlids should be about 5-6" in length. At these sizes the cichlids shouldn't poss a threat to your arowana.
my silver aro is with true parrot cichlid, green terrors and veja argentenea. they seem to be ok. no issues.
