Arowana won't stop jumping

Hey guy. I have an arowana I'm growing out and I have recently moved it into a new tank. Since its been in its new tank I have realized that it has started to jump at the lid as if it was jumping for food. I watch it look upwards, pick it's spot and jump out of the water. I have water level lowered about 6-7in, so it's jumping pretty high and hitting the lid.

I'd really rather not end up with an arowana with a broken back. Any ideas? Anyone ever experience this before?

It could be a couple reasons: either something in the environment or near its tank distresses or scares it or water quality or being in a new tank like the transition (the way u put it from one tank to the next) was incorrect or ur scaring it when u walk by and its stressed and afraid or its just being an aro and is afraid of everything when in a new tank
 
It's not water quality. And definitely not stress. He is the most aggressive eating fish I have ever kept. Flies across the tank for food. As I said he is picking his spot at which he jumps at. Originally it was the lid handle. I took that off. Than it was the wire from the light I moved that. Now he's jumping at the water marks on the lid. He's actually jumping out of the water in attempt to grab/eat whatever he thinks is there

Oh then ur fish is just a savage eater lol ya I had a jardini arowana that jumped a lot at night just because he was angry and wanted food I recommend some padding on the lid and corners of tank if u don't want injury but it's hard with a light
 
Try filling aquarium leaving maybe lowered 1" and place some weight on the lids see if that helps.
