First of all hello!
I've been keeping fish since I was 10 and just got into monsters when I purchased a 6" jardini. I've read how agressive they can be so am a little nervous about putting something else in there. Would it be possible to put in another jardini with him? The tank is 300 gallons and I keep it pretty clean.

Most likely it would not work. If you did want to give it a try though just make sure you have away to seperate the fish, either by having a divider or another tank ready. These will need to be ready at all times, once they need seperation you will have little time too do so.

I do have a divider ready for the tank. So is that a yes to go and get another jardini? I know they are really aggressive but is that only to other fish or to their own species too?

Jars are aggressive to most all other fish. You actaully might have better luck with three jars, but then three areas of seperation could be needed.

I'm really sorry about this. Made a big mistake here and didn't even relize it till now. My arowana is not a jardini. It is a black arowana. I was doing all this research on jars and thinking about them while writing there posts.

I do not have any jardinis I only have 1 black arowana in the 300 gallon tank. I stilll have the same questions though would I be able to add another black or some other fish like firemouths or some tetras?

Well keeping two blackstogether will be pretty much the same as I posted for the jars, probably a better chance of sucess though.

As far as other tankmates, Best rule is to keep the fish big enough not to fit in the aros mouth. I keep my black aro with discus, there is a link in my signature below if you would like to see.

Ok I think I'll look at some other blacks and pick one of those up. I got a divider at the ready.
Sorry for not making it clear but when I say tetras I kinda meant as feeders. Would it be ok to put a school of minnows or feeder gups in the tank if they have been quarentined for a month?

Welcome to MFK and 2 aros in the same tank they'll definitely fight but 2 blacks have a better chance of sucess best is to add more but thats gonna be Pricey

I have two aros in the same tank and they don't fight.
