I have two aros in the same tank and they don't fight.

You have 2 silvers and i seen the thread and you made some nice observations of your silvers being a pair Very nice,but i dont think i was clear enough i meant to say that 2 blacks have a better chance than 2 jars,but it's always better to add more,but it'll be pricey

You want a school of feeder minnows/guppies? Why not do a school of large tetras (not including piranha and pacu) or a school of geophagus?

I think that would be too cramped.
I don't expect the minnows to last long they would just be sort of there for a snack if they ever got to hungry.
