Also dont clean your filter every month, clean it every 3 months or so. If you have multiple filters DONT clean them all at once, clean 1 filter first, wait for a week or two like the bacteria build up in the filter you just cleaned and clean the other one later. MOST important thing is when you clean your filter, clean it with the water from your tank only. Do not use tape water or any other water. It doesnt matter if you do water change 10x a day, if you screw up with the filters your tank will get bacteria bloom and it will re cycle mode again. Your tank will get cloudy.
