what is there to elaborate on? is a fish, there is no real trickery about it. if you feel it brings good fortune, then it must be something special. if u had badluck b4 the fish, and nothing changed after u got the fish, then it will not do u any good.

I agree! It is just something you have or you don't...:irked:

if anyone is interested ----

There is a huge info sheet in my thread of "everybody show your arows" ;) NOVO just posted it with some of the reasons for the beliefs about owning the arow ....it is very interesting..and he just posted it today..;) I was going to try and bring it to this thread but do not know how to cut it down and transfer it..

The chinese believ they do.. Has to do with "Feng Shiu".. but for it to have any effect the tank needs to be placed in a special place in the house, I believe.

I meant Feng Shui, sorry

If your arowana makes you happy then that in itself will change your luck. A postitve attitude gives you different choices that are more satifying to you. Changes your decisions to a better what you truly desire inside without thinking. Quantum Physic's.....the law of "Attraction".....If you send out negative energy, you therefore attract it.....vis versa as well. Anyone read Dr. Emaro Muroto's book? "The Hidden Messages in Water"......awesome book that is fact and has to do with the molecular formations in water before and after certain thought's and words are "thought", "said" and "labeled" onto a glass of water....or lake, etc. Pretty interesting stuff considering the fact of a matter that you and also your fishtank are water.

Happy and broke :grinno: In all honesty i think the chinese meant solely the asian arrows.. but i truly believe the silver arow brings good luck too and i believe that there may be something to the part of the belief that if something bad is bound to happen to someone in the family the Arow will give up his life to save the family member.. i was in the hospital for knee surgery but ended up in ICU with complications and my Arow passed at this time.. so i am a believer.. because i recovered.. one thing is certain that the Arow is very very special.......... and gains our respect.

awesome! :headbang2
