Yes you are right, but instead of joining the competition, I went for a random fishing there once, but my love for Giant Snakehead is so much that I gave up, didn't feel like hurting them...let me just appreciate their beauty in captivity or swimming naturally in the wild than hurting them with hooks.

i heard that giant snakehead are the only dominant species in that zoo lake.. giant snakehead that been caught in that competition were release into huge new aquarium that build in the zoo but not all of it.. fishing hook still can hurt them alot.. saccosuchus.. what a fish lover u are.. :)

it's true toffee.. it also happen in some lakes in Malaysia..

This is incredible, matured swans are about 5' long, snakeheads about about the same size. Since swans were built for flying, I think snakeheads are heavier than swan. That said, for any snakehead to pull and drown a swan is incredible. Unless they are into group hunting.

May be the baby swans were the ones that was eaten?

it's possible for snakehead to eat whole of the swan.. i think they only attack cygnet or small ducks..

The member Taker that posted the All About The Giant Snakehead thread left MFK over an argument about Micropeltes being sold as feeders. He received replies that just made me leave.

Giant Snakehead lover!:headbang2

A malaysian friend of mine told me stories of fishing for large Snakeheads by using live baby ducks. Ducks to make sure only the larger fish were caught since ducks could escape and discourage the smaller fish... I never believed him since he was prone to exaggeration but now I am not so sure.
