ArttyFish's Pinima From The Past!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I had two pinima, found them in pretty bad condition, unfortunately lost one out of nowhere and then the other one had real aggression problems so i moved him on, they are great fish and i'd get one again if i could, they are similar to Temensis and growth is similar just toned down a little.
Great fish to have and seemingly rarer and rarer

Hey guys,
Here is a pic of my old pinima I owned many years back! I had to sell it because I didn't have a big enough tank to house it properly. But I did regret selling it miss my old fishy friend. This pic was from many years back when Peacock Bass keeping wasn't as cool as it is now with all the young hobbyist coming up! Keep up the good work everybody, and PBASS owners rule the MFK Forums!

Sup Ken, at that time i only had my 240 gallon and the Pinima was about 16 inches. I did not have the 560 gallon hot tub as I do now. But i think they get about 24-30 inches in captivity. They are a close cousin to Temenesis but the rarer type.

Very nice. Indeed they grow much bigger than normal PBs. I'm an avid lurer myself, a angling friend once told me if your PBs have the distinct black markings on the gill plates and cheeks, or the killer red eyes. They usually grow much bigger.
