hi

iam thinking of getting a asain, i want to know is there any different what colour you get like do some grow bigger ,do some grow small and are some of them more agressive because i have heared that reds are more aggressive then other asains.thanks

I believe RTG are the smallest, but all goldens are usually smaller than super reds, not by much mind.
I don't know about aggresivness, do you mean with tank mates?
They're not usually like Jars and will live with tank mates happily, as long as it's not just one other aro.
If they're being hasseled they will fight back though as long as they're big enough.

Never heard of size being dictated by the color morph. what i do know is that all and all, asian aros are shorter than their SA counter parts. 3' for an asian aro is really big and old from what i understand. can't advise about aggresiveness - i recon that is just down to individual fish.

From what i have observed there are two distinct body shapes for asian aros: spoon head with high back (emperor would be ultimate: ugly or beauty) and sort of elongated shape (bullet shaped?).

Reds tend to have rich finnage (i.e. large pectorial fins and big tail) and more likely to develop into king/emperor aro (super duper spoon head - or hunch back: depending on which side of the fence you sit)

I recon all morph have their charms ^^

and in case you were wondering - asian aros do suffer from DE and LPJ

iv heard green are the biggest asian arowanas but like the post above asian wont reach the size of their SA counterparts and the aggression depends on the fish itself like people say jardinis are aggressive well mines is pretty cool with other arowanas so it depends on each fish's personality
