ASAP red devil extremely sick

I felt bad for a red devil at my LFS I think she may be a pure rd but anyways she is 6 inches long in a 5 gallon tank over there and she has parasites fungus hole in the head fin rot and pop eye so I bought her to try to save her so I bought some epsion salt stress coat and life guard and lowered the tanks temp to 76 so should this work to help her heal and could she still be OK with one eye :-(

In most cases Increasing tank temps is used to treat parasites, not decreasing

Sounds like secondary infections after living in an aggressive environment and dirty water. Clean water and peace will do the fish well.

6" fish in a 5g tank is gonna be hard to maintain with perfect water, even just for treatement. Got a 20L? That would be much, much better?

maybe I read wrong, but I believe the 5 gal was the tank at the store

Yea tank at the store was 5 gal she is in a 30 gallon hospital tank

Good luck with healing the fish,Do alot of water changes it helps them heal. Also fish seem to do just fine with only one eye,the socket tends to heal over well..

CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN WATER...I mean water changes daily. a minimal 5 gallon bucket switch everyday or so will help. Good luck! Post pics, if you can pull this off you'll get a pretty decent badge of honor to gloat about here!
