If it was my LFS I'd report them. They won't get shut down... just told to get their act together or get fined!

Have you not considered taking the fish back to your store and asking for your money back? Most good dealers will within a couple of days or so of purchase as long as you provide a water sample from your tank..

OP bought the fish from the LFS precisely because it is in bad shape.

I know that... I can read. But the point is the shop shouldn't have even offered it or had it in their tanks, on view... It should have been quarantined away from public eyes. The dealer should not have sold it to the OP to fix it.

This store does not care they sold an Oscar that had ich and hith to a beginner and told him it was natural I am going to report them they sold a 12 year old a jaguar chiclid and said it is perfect for a 29 for life they have no morales I have saved more than 5 fish and after that I sell them to people who can care for them I just do not believe that a fish should pay because they are a holes.

I'm saying OP most likely don't want to take it back to exchange it for money, precisely because OP took it in to take care of it particularly.
