Ashdavid, Q about wolves

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It depends on which mac you get as to its activity. One lacerdae is very ,very active and comes to the glass when ever I go into the room.

Why not both a wolf and a snakehead would be my question... :naughty:

If you had a big enough tank you might be able to keep a full grown common wolf or a smaller growing lacerdae and a full grown snakehead together. It would be risky though.

Exactly b.

Fishnthings - I've kept snakeheads (not the whole time) since I was about 9 years old, I love them, they'll always be my favourite fish.

However wouldn;t it be a bit boring to only keep 1 kind of fish?

Also bsplenden - maybe I just got a dud hoplias, mine would never come to the top of the tank for food, it would never even look at me, and it would rarely eat feeders in front of me.

Ash - which one is that - the rio sao, salvador or rio tapajos? :)

:WHOA: I meant keep them in seperate tanks.

Keep them together and it would most certainly mean war. Need lots of luck to find a peaceful snakehead AND a peaceful wolf. :D

rumblesushi, I know many people whose malabaricus will come to the surface for food. Initially, mine doesn't either, it took some time for the wolf to settle down and start feeling safe in its tank.

Which are you talking about? The one in the avarta

I mean the active one, but tell me the one in your avatar too, it's a beauty.

B - I think I was just unlucky. I got the fish from a good source, I think it was a brazilian mal but it was a very dull, shy fish.

I actually had it for 6 months. Tried it in 3 different tanks, lots of hiding places, low lighting etc, it never ever became more active and came to the tank for food etc.

The most active that I have is the one in the avatar, it is from Rio xingu. It is about 16" right now and is very active during the day.
