no, corals absorb necessary minerals for growth from the water column, and without adequate levels the corals couldnt growth. i would also assume all inverts even ones acquire minerals from digestion would die, do to the salinity differences. this is assuming all you add is the powder which it seems like.hurricane_redbone;3172539; said:does that also mean u can keep corals in that magic water?
also as said in other threads low salinity is "suppose" to cause kidney damage in saltwater fish, so how they do long term is yet to be said. but it would be interesting as it lowers salinity from the looks of the posters so that means less salt creep(one thing i never got over about saltwater)!
what interests me more is how it increases growth hormone.
