Asian Aro and Black Aro?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think i am going to try it, i have a tank ready for either but i would like to keep them together, for a bit at least. The Asian isnt coming till March(will be 6-7" when it gets here) and my Black is 12" so i think i have a standing chance :)

I would like to put a black aro, with my silver. I am also from Edmonton. Where are you getting the black from?

thanks!

like i said i already have the tank prepared for the separation so if it does happen i'll move then ASAP lol

I'd get that asian up to at least 12" first. I have 7" RTG's and they are small and fragile. Your black aro could easily kill it when your not looking.

Yes, you may.
But it will not guarantee works because every aros got it's own individual personality, and you will never know if you had never tried.

When you want to try, you need to prepare anther tank for emergency if once they had failed to comm.

These are the 1 asian aro and 1 black aro comm tank:

Good Luck!

Like all the others have said, be prepared to separate at a moments notice. It may work, you won't know unless you try. Also it all depends on the fish itself. All fish should be treated as an individual, what one may do, another may not.

I currently am having sucess with a 20in Black and a 16in Jardini. Every once in awhile they will chase each other around, but they mainly swim together like buddies. The Jardini is much fatter and out competes the Black for food.

Although I am having no problems yet, I would not risk it with an asian($$$$$). I would cry if I paid for an asian and it got beat up or dies.
