asian aros with aggresive cichlids

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well it was the wolf and the umbee :nilly: that made everyone say what they did because both of those are capable of killing anything anytime. This is what u do get the red aro at 12" plus and get your cichlids at like 4-6" so that they are to big for the aro to eat but the red will still retain a size advantage.:headbang2 This way all your fish are still in the juvy stage and grow up with each other hopefuly creating a enviroment of acceptance that will last.:grinno:

Thank you all for your input!!!
" big train " I agree with you, that stragety might just work....When yhe time comes
I think I"ll try something along those lines.. thanks
" Okmanxman " Love your fish.. great pics... How big are they and have they
lived together for a while???

I'd be more worried about the aro fighting with each other, I wouldn't worry about cichlids, however I strongly recomend you put atleast 6 aro's together, and use plenty of black water for the first few months.

It would probably work, but you are dealing with a fish that is over a $1000 dollars! Definitelya lot riskier than the cheaper aros. I wouldn't do it.

It 's your money, though so go for it.

Anyway, do it if you want but..i wouldnt risk it.

Basically whatever chilli red or blood red are just commercial branding currently in the market to attract consumers who still believe in the myth of these reds will look differently when they grows bigger but price wise will be also more pricy.

infact, these branded reds are just merely grade 1 super red. The different is not the brand but the quality. Just buy with care and with careful selection from a realiable source, you'll be safe at what you're paying for.
