Asian Green with Silver

It seems there is a chance it will work, its whether your prepared to take the risk, dont think i will bother, just stick to the silver as thats what i started with.

Well guys i decided to bite the bullet and buy this little fella from the lfs.
So far so good, about a week now with no fighting.
Just a question on feeding, now a feed my other silvers on mainly prawn which sinks to the bottom for the rays too, the silvers have no problem in scooping this up from the bottom which is great, but the green hasnt worked this out yet.
Do you think it will, so far it hasnt really had a substantial meal as such, just bits and pieces. i have ordered the hikari food stick which should arrive early next week, would just like a bit of advise on the best way to tackle this.
This is my first Asian and I have found out that it is quite different from the silvers.
i will post a couple of pic hopefully tomorrow night (gmt).

just bought three large silvers (20inches) that were being kept with three same size greens peacefully
seems that it is trial and error as with alot of fish keeping
however the more aros you have the more likely it will work out ok

Well it's been a week and half now and still not eating. Although still seems lively enough. I'm hoping he will eat soon though as he can't surely go for much longer.
At the moment it seems that when I drop the food in he actually moves away from it.

Congrats on your new pick-up. You shouldn't have any problem. Although green is known for aggressiveness, it won't bother your silvers much, especially when you have multiple silvers in your tank. Your silvers won't bother the green, as they know who's the boss. Just give your green some time to adjust with the new environment. Also, make sure water quality is good. Your green will eat in no time.
What did it eat at the LFS? If you're worried, you could start feeding it the same things it ate at the LFS and then slowly try other things like the Hikari foodsticks. Good luck!
