Asian red tail cat with stingray??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Most large cats work well with rays but these guys seem pretty nippy I would not try it myself. Go with a Niger or a Irwini or even one of the shovel nose cats (tigrinus,Juruense)

I know their peaceful but can get past the horse shape head and face of a Niger both cats got huge spikes I don't want my Ray to get scratches. Tigrinus sure... But I need a big one and their not cheap at size.

U got my name wrong... but never mind.
I wouldn't consider any fish as "hot", but recently Chinese aquarists are becoming more and more intrested in rare and exotic fish.

Street term in the USA "hot" meaning cool, popular, most wanted, and kept. Btw my bad or should I say
My mistake. You dnt need to be so up tight. If I offended you in anyway M-S-H-U-A-N-G-C-H-A-O it wasnt intended.

It Would depend on the size of the tank, i think if they are within close quarters of each other the catfish will be very mean to your ray.........just my guess though

Got some silver dollars to put in with the artc it fail, cat try eat them had to move him asap, it was chasing them trying to bite their tail.

Hemibagrus wyckioides(Asian redtail) is a very aggressive bagrid, not as bad as the Crystal eyed cat H.Wyckii, however the former unknown to many does reach 4feet plus in Asia.......you will need a pretty big tank to calm any aggression........BAD IDEA !!!
The scutes down the sides of Dorads rarely if ever cause damage to rays, there's more risk of a ray been stabbed by another in a community situation,if space is at a premium then these cats make a good addition.
