I had a chance to buy a 6" the other day but was scared it would attack my Jardini,does anyone know how large these guys get??

ok i will type in what i have learnt about these little devils which i have been keeping since the last 6 months
it was about 2.5" when i got it
loved pipes to hide at that age, and lived with a few other smaller catfish(5-6" in size) and used to bite them even at that size
never comes out of its hiding place unless its to attck another fish or its dinner time and its dark
will try and redecorate the decor so that it is comfortable to hide
* put a crack in the side glass of the tank while moving rocks to make space for itself*
it did not get the red in its tail till it got 4" and it got the trailer at 3"
loves earthworms and live ghost shrimp, eats very sparsely, and grows much slower compared to the RTC
can kill much bigger fish than itself, it killed a 5" carpintis when it was 4.5"

I tried raising one some time ago ... did not succeed to raise it, but mines were wild caught (literally asked fisherman to catch one for me) - not from LFS.
Lasted several months.
May be will try later again. Growing motoro ray now (one gone one left) - more stressful that i thought.

If it's very dark, I think it's a wyckii.

If it's lighter coloured like ARTC but without the red tail, it could be the nemurus, a common food fish in SE Asia.
