I was at a local lfs the other day and saw the label Asian RTC and took a look at the little fellow and thought for $5 why not grow him out a little and see what he is? Well here are some pictures that I took of him today and wanted to see what the catfish coniseurs thought.100_0235.JPG

If that really is an asian RTC watch the hell out! He'll likely kill your other fish tonight. Not kidding they can be like Mystus Wycki when the lights go out in terms of aggressiveness.

it has been really chill with all the other fish even with lights out, then again most of the fish are larger than it

^^ i want one. can they not be kept in groups of their own kind?

EDIT: reading more into them atm, these fish are *******s. and they kill other fish regardless whether they can eat them or not.

bad idea, but that's how humans learn, i'd reccomen, as stated above, to put it up for sale as soon as possible, as you will have a difficult time just to find a buyer..

I bought one that said it as an "albino asian red tail".. not knowing much about it, I just bought it.. he is not aggressive by any means.. I have tiny, tiny Cory's that he could probably fit 2 in his mouth, and he just ignores them.. maybe mine is just like an albino channel? I'll post pictures when I get home

Yeah while its small like that it should be fine (although you never really know with Asian red tails). Once it gets even a little bit bigger, it will probably cause pure hell in your tank. so watch out.

personally I would get rid of it as soon as possible, unless you want to have a giant aquarium with just one large catfish in it.
