There is nothing good or interesting about intentionally exceeding a tank's bioload. It is not desirable. It is barely manageable. Just because you gave it a name doesn't make it okay. If you started calling twinkies 'super apples', eating them would still be terrible for you. Do you and your fish a favor and stop this idiotic parade before someone gets hurt.
Overstocking sets up conditions for rapid spread of disease, instant deoxygenation of water in cases of filter failure...the list goes on. In a fish market where the fish are not fed and they are all kept at 50 degrees fahrenheit, and going to be slaughtered within days, water cleanliness is a low priority. Don't think for a second that any conscientious fishkeeper would start out with the INTENTIONAL GOAL of overstocking a tank. It happens when fish grow, or when a bigger tank breaks, etc. There is nothing attractive about stuffing too many fish into a tank and watching them try to avoid bumping into each other. Stop it. Stop it. I wish I could say it louder, but I can't find polite words to say it with, so just stop it.

I thought it was just something you yell out when you go through a red light or make an illegal U-turn. "Oh jeeze, there's the curb! ASAIN STYLE!!"

Sounds interesting, I think I'll set up an "Asian Style" tank. I could always buy more fish

It seems to be taking on that meaning, having seen it mentioned a few times in that way. Asian biotopes are great. Half of the fish in the trade are Asian, if not more. I just began reading it used that way and had to say something before people went nuts and started keeping twenty zebra danios in a ten gallon tank.

JDM tanks.

Most of the people on here that do them are well experienced and have huge filters to handle the bio load. Yea it seems wrong but there are many different views in the fish keeping hobby, many people think keeping a fish in a 300g tank is cruel because they are originally from a million gallon lake/river. To each his own as long as the fish are healthy and feeding nothing seems wrong.

and since we are at it with links this is my favorite
