Just a reminder everyone, MFK is a :FIREdevil NO FLAME ZONE :FIREdevil

Yes, the key to the success of 'Asian style' tanks is in the filtration. More is always better. Don't forget that maintenance is much higher in a highly stocked tank.

As pointed out, you are going to need to research what you can put together.

overstocked tank = over filtration and too much work i had a overstocked growout tank,
water changes every three days, sometimes every two days
too much work sometimes becomes real hectic, so i went out and bought 3 rubber maids and then everything went wrong i still feel bad for a few of my fish

dude...you want to do an asian style tank...in a 45...with a gulper?!?!?!

Why not just give that tank to the gulper and provide a decent home. Thats all you will end up with anyways if you put in any fish small enough for a 45 with a gulper.

ok.
so its 65g tall.
i know that the gulper might be a problem in there.
thats why ive considered selling it.
depending on what you guys say.
plus i can always get fish bigger than the gulper since its still small.
i was thinking of the fx5.
think i'll get that soon.
i have no problems with regular water changes.
i am free almost everyday.
i think that maybe i'll try it for a while and see if it works well or not.

decided to go with something else.
thanks to everyone who helped.
i'll def. keep it in mind when i get a big tank.
