I had no idea that the prices of asians are so much higher out in the west than here in TO.

There are quite a few asian aro lovers on the West coast of Canada. So much so that there have been a few group orders of asian aros from Singapore. In total a fellow i know has brought in probably 30-40 asian aros legally at cut throat prices to hobbyists around the lower mainland.

Riverfront aquarium in Calgary is the Canadian importer for DFI, they normal have a couple dozen on stock at a time. Royal Blue XB, Saphire XB, Gold Head XB, Chili Red , as younge fish, and 55 cm + ruby reds $30,000 ( if you want it) the younge XB are 4000 - 6000 dollars, and the Reds are 2000 - 4000 dollars. They also have Silvers, Blacks, and Jardinis. Enough said the store is a site to be seen if your in the area.
Ya I live in Canada too... if you are wanting fish your best bet is to go to Calgary or Edmonton but Calgary is better. I have never been to Vancouver but if you are there you absolutly must visit the Vancouver Aquarium!

ya i live in BC too theres quite a few stores that sell asain arows but here all way to mutch $$$$ for me, i whant to down to the US and get some oddball fish sence i think some are cheeper down there A
I didn't post this to give anyone the wrong idea, I hope no one goes and tries to get one thru the border crossings. Homeland security is really tight coming into WA because there have been 3 carloads of terrorists caught there, trying to get to Seattle to do bad things to us. It's great though, I never thought about it before, asiains being so close, yet so far away! I have cousins in Vancouver, so I will go to the Aquarium and fish shops next time I'm, there.........
Asians are sold in the open in Los Angeles...around $2000+ for various Red and Purple varieties. They're obviously smuggled in illegally, but they're microchipped with CITES certs. There are several LFS on Garvey Ave., Monterey Park. One of them sells Asians in plain view.
