Long term that is not good and it's harder to change these habits later on u want to try to fix it now but it's really hard
Hmm it's tough with oscars in there but try breaking the pellets in half or putting some Pellets some food when the aro goes for some food might think the pellets are live fish and in the spur of the moment eat a few I know that's how I got my aro on pellets it eats Azoo arowana pellets and Nutrafin Max earthworm pellets
I absolutely don't want you to jeopardize your water quality , just feed as usual and just drop a couple of food sticks near Aro, if Oscar's eat them that's ok.
The most important thing is making sure Aro gets food which you stated Aro was eating feeder fish. personally I raise my Silver Arowana's under 6 " by themselves until they past that mark and are strong enough to compete with most fish.
