Hey everyone, I just moved into our new home. I have a 650 gallon tank that i cannot fit inside anymore so i was thinking of maybe building it into my fish pond that i am hopefully gana take on this summer. But the thing is im not sure on how to make it part of pond?????? I was thinking of maybe having it set up as a bar n somehow having it connected to the pond. But but how would i keep water from flowing out yada yada soo i would like to hear everyones ideas i am posting a pic of my tank its 12ft long by 2 1/2 by 3 i think its been a while since i measured it but lets see what you think n please dont let your head smoke on this lol opinion

If you have it higher up as a bar from the pond, I would use and overflow box of some sort to make sure the tank never empties, if water or flow gets low the tank will stay a constant volume. Waterfalls into pond also, aerates the water on way back to pond. Would love to have 650 g in my house

Put it in the garage....Try and get it in thru a window. Pull out a door jam. Get that thing in the house or in the garage if you have one.

Would hate to see a tank turned into a pond. I would add onto the house. Add onto the kitchen and put it there to enjoy while eating breakfast lunch and dinner. Just don't eat fish in front of them. Im adding a larger door in the basement for my new tank to go in. 36" door. Front door should be 36" at your place.

I agree, get that sucker inside! But before you turn it into a pond, sell it, and get a tank you know that'll fit, As turning that tank into a pond defeats the purpose, IMO..

Well i already got 2 150's n the way my house is set up their really aint much room to put it... Its still up in the air i was thinking about cutting it up and re doing it so it wrapped around a corner of my basement but idk??? I think it would be sweet to have as part of my wet bar outside i have a massive yard n i like what meyjeffery sez about the waterfalls off it n using the overflow to keep it from draining i seen once n i cant remember where but a guy had it so his fish could go from pond to tank with some large tubing but i cant find out how he did it with out it draining cause tank is higher ?????? But like i said i'm jus open to everyone's opinion on this n the deal with it going in my basement it would have to be cut up to fit and yes i would efin love to have it inside again jus not sure pluse ya know how the ole lady gets when theirs a tank in every corner lol

Turn it into a sump for the pond or stick it upside down put it into the pond having some of the tank under water so the fish can be in pond or in tank aka bottomless tank
