Asking for pictures from Rehoboth Aquatics -- bad idea?

I want to buy some bichirs from Toyin but I would like to see a couple pics first. Has anyone ever asked him for pics and how does he respond? I've never bought anything fron him before and I've read on other threads that he can be kind of grumpy and will ignore emails from people who bug him. Just don't want that to happen to me.

Just order and you will see.... action speaks louder then words. Some quality fish seller are like that. But, rehoboth will answer most questions you have and he under measure fish to. :/

Hes a good vendor but he can be grumpy, as far as the pics....good luck.

He can be hit or miss in terms of replies. I never asked for pics though. The fish I have got were great quality. He has just disappeared on me. Good luck with your order.

I would agree and since the op wants pics Jurassic aquatics would be a great choice. Lots of quality fish and pics of all of them. Toyin has great fish just lacks pics. I also think communication would be better with Kevin or mike. At least from my experience.

I've never ordered from either Rehoboth or Jurassic Aquatics, but I have to say that I think the way Jurassic advertises and sells their fish is much better than Rehoboth. I really like the way JA posts pics on their Facebook page and answers questions almost instantly on their wall. Plus, they take plenty of pics and it's all on their FB page updated often. With Toyin, it's no pics and sometimes slow response and you have to trust that he's going to give you good bichirs. Plus, I wish he would post the prices on his website. I know you just email him for the price, but his website should be more user friendly and you should have all the info you need on the screen (except shipping price of course).

toyin has great quality fish but unless you know him very well he can be a bit grumpy kevin and mike would be easier to communicate with but either way you won't be disappointed with the fish you recieve

Toyin has a preference toward being a wholesaler to stores. That's why the prices are not listed. I can also assume that's why he doesn't respond well to general public. Not that he won't sell retail, but he would rather wholesale. I have not ordered from Kevin and mike, yet, but friends have and they can't say enough good about them. They keep going back. I have ordered from Toyin and he has great fish and shipping. I just think due to his wholesale preference his communication lacks. If you do a lot with him I am sure the communication will be better. I have had texts and emails get ignored about buying from him so I have just givin up on any more orders from Toyin.
