Sometimes it takes only a few days..sometimes courting continues but nothing happens...variance would depend on external factors as well such as temperature, season, water chemistry etc. Sometimes when u least expect it, the males swallows the eggs even though it's fertile. There is a certain amount of luck involved as well.

This is meant to give overseas hobbyist a rough idea of what locals pay in Asian aro producing countries. Some say that hobbyist locally pay a lot less then what overseas buyers are paying. I can say this is not entirely true. I can also tell you guys that hobbyist in Japan for instance do pay more but they reserve the right to pick a selection out of the crop before the rest are released hence the premium.
