Astatheros robertsoni

I've been ramping up my efforts to set up a 240g and trying to pick stock. As per usual, whenever I figure out a fish I want, it disappears from stocklists the net over. This time it is Astatheros robertsoni. Does anyone know of someone that might be willing to ship me some fry? Does anyone have any experience keeping these fish in a group of 8ish? Should I just get firemouths and pretend I'm happy?

I grew out 8 robertsoni in a 50 gal, until they hit about 3", and got them from a breeder in Chicago.

Glad to see that somebody appreciates this species. It doesn't show up very often. I kept them for a little while and didn't feel that they were schooling fish.

I don't think they will school, but I've heard that they can get pretty mean to each other when there are only a few.

I know who you're talking about. The meet thats coming up they should be there as well unless he sold out of them.
