Can't wait to see the breeding start... I'd feed live for a bit but not too heavy obese pikes do NOT breed well. Do a cool water change preferably RO water and maybe even add black water extract (the rio atabapo is black water) and see how it goes... Pikes can be spawned through dividers too

Awesome thanks, I recently rehomed my dovii pair there's still quite a few young fry from that spawning swimming around in the tank . keeping the divider up for a couple weeks so she can really settle in and get established then try without the divider and fish sit for a day or two and see how they get along

In your experience where do these guys max out at in size? My male is about 15" and thick, still growing , what's the largest you've seen?

Very nice pair, beautiful fish. I just saw a gorgeous female the other day about 12" at a store called Aquaradise here in East Brunswick, NJ. Rio Atabapo is a blackwater river so some peat in the filter might get them going.
