BTW, love the new avatar P_P...but you know you're once again going to have people thinking you're a hot chick.
Glad you like the FIRE'S ~~ they're a pretty good pair - so far, actin like noble Pikes! Really are doin MUCH better in the larger tank w/other fish... Will be nice watching them grow, interesting to see what color change happens! We used 100% Metronidazole for HITH, which has stabilized & we hope subsides. Really hoping no scars or bad pitting, --- we try to raise show-quality fish.
Sexing the lu. atabapo reds is easy ~ both have black(dark blue?) dorsal fin edging, only the female has the white stripe below the black. It's hard to tell when her belly is PINK...

How long did you treat with metronidazole? I've just been doing frequent water changes with mine, but might try that, if there's a chance it will help. Mine are still not 100% comfortable with me in the room, but they are more willing to show themselves and eat than they were the first few days. Might try adding a few fish to their tank to help with that...

Yeah, hope that crap doesn't start again about being confused for a hot chick...haha...oh well.
Not to hijack, but I finally managed to get a couple semi-reasonable photos of mine tonight. The second one is by far the best looking fish in the group...unfortunately the head got cut off in that shot.
